Sometimes a girl is hiding behind her smile. In reality, it is a glass smile, ready to be shattered in minutes, moments, seconds. Shards fly everywhere, emotions drip from her face. It is then, and only then, that she remembers who has been standing there, right by her. He is the only guy she can trust for the time being, and she has ignored him completely. Even after being rejected and shut down time after time, he never left het side, never broke his promise. He’s there to put the pieces back together for her. Ultimately, he’s the one that broke her smile in the first place. She had to realize that she was just pretending to be something that she was not. She needed to be reminded of the fact that everything she has, even her own body, is temporary. So he broke her. And as he is working to put her pieces back together, he is breaking thousands of other people.

It was then that she realized her God is so much greater than anything on this earth. As she wept, he gently told her that she is a princess, and always will be. He never explained the moment of impact which broke her smile, but he did not have to. She committed to him, and he promised that when she turned her back again, he would be there for her, waiting to clean the mess.
